Our partners
Our partner in QUEBEC, Cycle North-South
|
Our environmental education mission is noble, but we
do realize that the evaluation of its concrete impacts
will be hard to evaluate. Being partnered with Cycle
North South give us the opportunity to participate to
the accomplishment of something more tangible.
The global mission of Cycle North South is to promote
social justice by contributing to economic autonomy
of various people of the South. Low income people and
women are on the first line. All over the province of
Quebec, Cycle North South collects used bikes that are
then put back in top shape to be sent in containers
to Mexico, Guatemala, Cuba and various countries of
Africa. We will travel among most of the countries of
the Americas where Cycle North-South leads an action.
Therefore, we will become more or less their ambassadors,
meeting people that get their help.

By becoming our partner, Cycle North South shows its
confidence in the chances of success of our Tour of
the Americas.

extended cycling path network (250 km). The mission
of CADR67 (Comité daction deux roues, meaning
Two wheels action committee of the Low-Rhine Department)
is to bring as many people as possible to use these
paths. The organization founded in 1975 now counts around
350 members in the area. The association adherates to
the FUBICY, the French federation of bicycle users.
Not only they promote cycling in town, but they also
work to get more cycling structures. They get involved
in the evaluation of the community future projects in
regards with cycling in the area. Meeting with kids
in classes to make them familiar with security they
also accompany them on streets.

In summer 2004, Strasbourg got a House of Cyclists. CADR67
moved there and since then, try to enlarge its missionfor
the promotion of bicycle touring.
By making some space for our project in their new local,
CADR67 shows its trust in us and also uses the Tour of Americas
to promote bike travelling. Together with CADR67, we will
lead some fund raising activities in which profits will partly
go to the setting of the House of Cyclists.
Stay informed if you wish to participate to our activities.
